PET SITTER / CAT CARE SPECIALIST
CURRENTLY HIRING
Our biggest hiring need right now is dependable team members available for pet sitting and cat care visits, especially during evenings and weekends.
Ideal Availability:

What You Might Do:

DOG WALKER
CURRENTLY HIRING - LIMITED AVAILABILITY
We are also looking for one dependable midday dog walker with weekday availability.
Ideal Availability:
Monday–Friday | Approximately 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
What You’ll Do:

Provide midday dog walks and potty breaks

Give enrichment, playtime, and companionship

Reinforce routines and basic manners

Refresh water and provide feeding if needed

Send adorable updates and photos to pet parents
Many of our dog walkers also pick up pet sitting visits in the mornings, evenings, or weekends if they’d like additional hours.

HOW SCHEDULING WORKS AT PAWS UP!
One of the things our team appreciates most about working at PAWS UP! is flexibility.
Because this is a part-time, supplemental income position, we understand many team members are balancing another job, school, family responsibilities, or changing schedules.
Some team members only work evenings and weekends, some are available just a few weekdays plus 2 weekends per month, and others have schedules that vary from week to week.
We do our best to build schedules around your availability while also meeting the needs of our clients and their pets.
Many team members choose to do a mix of dog walking, pet sitting, and cat care visits, while others prefer to focus on certain types of visits or times of day.
The more availability you have, the more opportunities for hours may be available, but we’re happy to work with dependable team members who have more limited schedules too.
Please note: Team members must be available for at least 2 weekends per month, since weekends are one of our busiest times for vacation pet care.
POSITION DETAILS & REQUIREMENTS
Must Haves:
Must be 18 years or older
Live in one of our service areas
Reliable transportation and valid driver's license with clean driving record
Smartphone with reliable internet access
Ability to pass a background check
Comfortable working independently
Comfortable caring for dogs, cats, and small pets
Ability to commit to working with us for at least 6 months
Availability for at least 2 weekends per month
Nice to Haves:
Prior pet care, dog walking, veterinary, shelter, kennel, or animal handling experience
Comfort administering medication (we can train the right person)
Experience with cats or small pets
No professional experience? That's okay. We care most about reliability, compassion, communication, and a willingness to learn.


A Day in the Life at PAWS UP!
A typical day could include:
🐾 Walking a dog during a midday potty break
🐾 Visiting cats while their family is out of town
🐾 Feeding a rabbit or bearded dragon
🐾 Giving medication to a senior pet
🐾 Sending updates and photos to happy pet parents
🐾 Ending your evening with puppy snuggles or cat cuddles
No two days are exactly alike, and that’s one of the best parts of the job.
